Seriously. If TMI on girl stuff is not cool for you, just go. Be gone. Cuz I’m bringing it. And it ain’t pretty.
I know you love me. I won’t be offended. Just go.
Ok.
Now.
For those who hung around. You fearless wonders.
I’ve been going thru some bad girl stuff lately. Heavy, long periods which have not only sent my hemo levels to barely breathing levels (at 7 now, should be 12-15, was at 5 last month) but also affecting my blood circulation to my hands and feet. Numbness making walking and using my fingers quite a challenge.
Monday night 3:30am and I am at work alone. I get that feeling that I may have just started my period. You know the feeling ladies. Its very distinct. I leave my post unattended to make a potty run ( a huge no-no at work, but really…they can bite me) and get the shock of shocks. This is really the TMI so I’ll be brief – golf ball sized clots.
Yes.
I told you it was TMI. You chose to stick around. Now your mental pic of the Purple Spaghetti woman is just too much eh.
Anyhoo. I freaked the hell out. Scared me to the point of sobbing. Ran back to work and called for coverage then drove to the ER. A little something about me and dr’s. They are my worst nightmare. I’d rather face a carjacker than a doctor. And a strange doctor and his team of three rns who could not even get my name straight is worse.
But I stuck around. GBSC’s trump doctor fear. I’ve got my priorities straight. After a series of tests that uh, invasive and horrific – I received news. Good news, in a way. After months of dealing with doctor after doctor I finally got a diagnosis on what the hell is going on with my body. I have an enlarged uterus and fibroids. Neither of which is great news and will most likely be surgicaly removed but… its news. And I’m just so relieved to know what is going on. The scary fears can be abated; no cancer, no tumors & yada.
So. Today is my birthday and although I’m still in the midst of girl hell (nothing stops it fyi) I feel that I got a really good present in getting a diagnosis. I know, I’m warped. But to me its a positive step that helps me in a direction towards getting better. Cuz the facts are that I suck when I’m sick.
There you go. Two posts in a row where I was not total negativity. Shocking eh.
Off work for a while (hooya on dr’s notes) so I may be around here more.
Just a new pic I saw recently and swiped. My boyfriend just gets hotter and hotter.

First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And many happy returns.
Second, I’m glad that you have some answers finally, and that though they’re scary, they’re not hide in the closet with a weapon in case they come to get you scary.
Hugs!

Birthday’s are not meant to be overridden with GBSC’s! Doesn’t the universe know that? At least there’s a reason for all of the numbness and other horrible things. WHEW, for that.
And furthermore…
Kim, Shan and I tried to coax your “boyfriend” into a box but he was too quick and got away. So sorry.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROX! Much love to you.

Two words: thermal ablation.
Just go and get it done right away. I wasted years working my schedule around this issue and in one day it was all over with. Wish I had done it sooner.

Happy Belated Birthday!
While GBSC’s sound very scary, it is good to have a diagnose. There is something terrible about the unknown and not understand why your body is acting a certain way. Glad you have that answer.
Hope you get better soon and they can get rid of the giant things…
