After having a really good year of self control with yarn purchases, I’ve fallen off the wagon.
I just found out that Noro has sock yarn now. $50 gone.
Which just being in the presence of Noro means I have to buy some Kureyon.
And not just a skein or two. No. I have to buy enough to make a sweater. $100. And then enough in another color to make a cable scarf. $30. Oh and while I’m Ebay’ing yarn, why not see if there are pattern books out there I must have.
I mean – while I’m blowing money like it grows on trees, why not spend even more.
$11 an hour at my job. Sure, I can just work like…uhm… four extra days this week to cover the spree.
What do you suppose triggered my lapse in restraint?
I blame the weather. Even though knitting has been causing some pain in my hands, just bring on the snow and all I want to do is work the sticks.
Well – the sticks, make chili and watch movies.
Anyway. I mention my fiber weakness to you, my friends. Those who understand that when the passion, the urge to buy hits – you must answer the call.
The car payment can just be late already.

I’m amazed you have time to make chili with all of the e-baying! Can’t wait for you to flash the Noro.

Uh. . . Almost enough to buy THE BOOTS.
(I’m probably not the only one who can do math in her head, either.)

I ran across the new sock yarn too. Couldn’t decide what colorway so I bought 4. I’m sure my husband will understand (assuming he finds out).
